No end in sight for Spam

The phenomenon know as Spam has taken Netizens by storm. The article tells you of the on going battle to stop companies from being able to send junk e-mails. It has caused systems to clog, servers to fail, and the public to fight back. There are some laws in the works to stop spammers, but it will take sometime to do so and since the Internet is world wide it may never be possible.

I have never had problems with this before. It was news to me to hear how bad it was. I get some product information but not in bulk quantities and not very often. I thing it should be taken care of but I don?t think it will. If we can?t stop it from being delivered to our door then we definitely won?t stop it on the web. I say just throw it away like always.

I agree it is a problem when it effects the way people conduct business. At the same time if no one ever responded to them they wouldn?t keep on sending. I do think it should be band from corporate and business account that are used to conduct affairs.

It relates to this class because stopping it is going to have to be done though means of blocking out the sender from particular IP addresses. It could require some new form of software used to recognize and filter the incoming information to particular servers.
