i sit in desolate darkness
waiting and waiting for a sign of light
nothing but emptiness all around me
silence that eats at you unending.
a pain never ending
the feeling of total abandonment.
i sit in a delirious manner
pondering what is to become of my soul
is it gone already.
stolen away from me by the darkness
or is it hidden.
by torture of my heart
now i lay motionless
knowing light will never come
flashbacks of life appearing
disappearing and then gone.
what has happened to me
what was my purpose
nothing remains.
no light remaining
no pain remaining
just emptiness all around a cold figure
a figure dismembered from its mind.
never to be remembered again.
