Episode 1
Pilot |
Dana Scully is assigned as
Mulder's partner on the x-files. Standing in the background is the
Cigarette Smoking Man. The 2 are dispatched to Northwest Oregon to
investigate the mysterious deaths of a number of high school
classmates. Fox has discovered that the victims in Oregon all have
some sort of unexplained marks. The same marks have been found on
murder victims in other parts of the country. In Oregon after
exhuming an earlier victim They discover a non human but humanoid body
in the grave. After some investigation they find the culprit is a
comatose student (Billy) who seems to be animated by some external
force. The boy is found in the forest after a flash of light and appears
to be completely normal. After returning to Washington all
evidence of the case disappears with the exception of a metal object
found in the non-human corpses nose. The episode ends with the
cigarette smoking man placing the metal object in a storage
container with several similar objects in a vault in the Pentagon.
Other facts:
The hypnotherapist who interviews Billy at the end
is the same one who performed the regression therapy to access Fox's
memories of his sisters abduction.

Episode 2
Deep Throat |
Mulder decides to investigate the disappearance of a
pilot from Helen Air Force Base (AFB). The sixth since 1963.
Before they leave for southwest Idaho an unknown man tells Mulder to
leave the case alone. Ignoring the advice Mulder and Scully go to Idaho
and interview the wife of the missing pilot. After seeing strange lights
in the sky Mulder sees photo's at a local diner which look surprisingly
like the photos of the 1947 Roswell incident. Mulder informs Scully that
Helens AFB is one of 6 sites where parts from the Roswell UFO were
supposedly taken. The missing pilot returns home but the wife
claims that is not my husband. Shortly afterwards the agents are
stopped by a group of armed men and told to leave immediately or suffer
the consequences. Scully advises Mulder to quit but Mulder takes off to
investigate Helens AFB. Mulder is caught and drugged. Scully is
stalked by one of the base security men but manages to take him prisoner
and demands a trade for Mulder. Mulder is brought to the
gate confused obviously drugged and released. Scully releases the base
security agent. after their return to Washington Mulder is jogging and
runs into Deep Throat again. Deep throat tells Mulder he can help him.
The episode ends with Mulder asking Deep Throat "They're Here
aren't they? and Deep Throat replying "Mr. Mulder they have been
here fo0r a very very long time.

First appearance of Deep Throat.
This episode was the first one on which assistant
art director Clyde Klotz worked. Clyde married Gillian Anderson on New
Years Day 1994.

Episode 3
Squeeze
|
After a business man is murdered inside a locked office
building. The third victim to have his liver ripped out. The FBI agent
in charge A classmate of Scully at the FBI academy asks for her help.
Implying that her association with Mulder is hurting her chances of
advancing within the FBI. Mulder discovers that a spree of 5 Murders
occurs in Baltimore every thirty years. They capture Eugene Tooms coming
out of an air vent at one of the crime scenes. Tooms passes a lie
detector test and is released. They later discover that Tooms is a
mutant who has the ability to contort his body and hibernates for thirty
years after he consumes 5 livers. Mulder searching Tooms home at 66
Exeter st. finds a souvenir from each victim and recognizes a necklace
Tooms has stolen from Scully. Tooms attacks Scully and is captured when
Mulder arrives at Scully's apartment. The episode ends with Eugene Tooms
locked up, building a new nest.

Episode 4
Conduit
|
Outside of Sioux City Iowa, a young mother is camping with
her two kids. A blinding light appears and the trailer the mother is
sleeping in is buffeted by an unknown source. When things quiet
down the mother finds her daughter Ruby is missing. Mulder reading the
story in a tabloid submits the paper work required to investigate the
incident (a form 302). Scully is asked by her supervisor if Mulder is
losing it. After talking to Mulder the two take off for
Iowa. They find a home in crisis and the young brother drawing
binary number sequences. Sending the sequences off to be analyzed
the National Security Agency (NSA) shows up and arrest the mother and
Son ransacking the house and claiming the binary sequences are from a
defense satellite transmission. After the mother and son are
released they dissappear. Scully and Mulder find a Picture of Ruby
formed by the binary patterns of her brother. Returning to the
scene where the daughter disappeared the daughter is found and taken to
a local hospital where she is found to be suffering from the effects
usually associated with prolonged weightlessness.
