My Hobbies and Interests

I have active in the local area as a Bulletin Board Sysop (System Operator) for over 7 years, during the early to mid 1990's.

I have been working in and around computers since the middle of 1968. It was at point I worked as a sub-contractor for Vitro Services in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba doing the work for the Naval Electronics Laboratory, San Diego, California.

I enjoy working with computers and have taken training in Industrial Electronics, Robotics and Computers graduating in 1986 with that degree.

Since leaving college, I opened my own business and have been doing repairs and upgrades to compatible computer systems throughout the Southeastern United States. I also do Consulting on the IBM compatible computer systems.

I am also a Bonded Notary in the State of Florida.


My Civic Activity

I have also been active with the Boy Scouts of America as an adult since 1972. I've held several positions including:

  1. Scoutmaster 1972 - 1979
  2. Scouting Coordinator 1979 - 1996
  3. Unit Commissioner 1979 - 1984 and 1995 - 1999
  4. Assistant District Commissioner 1984 - 1995
  5. Religious Awards Chairman 1979 - present date for
    the Choctawhatchee District of the
    Gulf Coast Council for the Boy Scouts of America

I also hold the following awards:

  1. Arrow of Light earned while a Cub Scout 1956
  2. Scouters Training Awards
  3. Scouters Keys earned as a Scoutmaster and Unit Commissioner
  4. Woodbadge earned 1976 while a Scoutmaster
  5. Distinguished Commissioner Award
  6. District Award of Merit
  7. Commissioners Arrowhead Award
  8. The Cross and Flame Religious Award The Methodist religious award earned as an adult
