Artificial intelligence it is field of study of information technology processing concerned with processes of reasoning, learning, and perception.
Historically computers have excelled at performing rather simple, repetitive tasks such as complex arithmetic calculation or database storage and retrieval. What this tasks have in common is that they are algorithmic in nature. That is, they involve a precise and logically designed set of instructions which yield a single correct answer. Humans, on the other hand, excel at solving problems using symbols rather than numbers, such as when planning a schedule of tasks or composing a poem. Artificial intelligence, in more specific terms, is the field of the computer science which provide computers with the ability to represent and manipulate such symbols so they can be used to solve problems not easily solved through algorithmic models. It can solve as engineering goals to solve real-world problems as scientific goals, using ideas about representing knowledge, using knowledge, and assembling systems explain various sorts of intelligence.
AI it is relatively new field of science. And it was found application areas such as language translation systems, air traffic control systems, robotics and much more. AI is the basis for a host of other practical system. Some of these systems already exist, and some are being designed in future.
Good example of application AI is intelligent highways. Traffic congestion is a growing problem on major highways. Instead, doubling size of road systems people now start build AI systems that optimize the usage of existing highways by broadcasting traffic warnings, redirecting vehicles to alternative streets, and controlling the speed and spacing of vehicles. In the future, a car will plan the route to destination in coordination with the automated highway managers.
