Lady Pastors Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith
- We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, true in its original languages and contextual intent, given for conviction of the unsaved and for the instruction and edification of the Church.
- We believe that there is only one true and living God, existing in the mystery of the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that man was created in the image of God but through his own free will, fell from righteousness to a condition of sin from which he could not save himself. We believe that every human who is born is born into this condition of sinfulness and requires a Savior. We believe that children under the age of accountability are saved by the graciousness of God.
- We believe that God the Son, Yeshua the promised Messiah, paid the penalty for the sins of all mankind through His atoning death on the cross and that this penalty can be appropriated into the life of each sinner by acknowledging and apprehending Yeshua as their personal Savior through an initial decision which is followed by a life of discipleship as understood by the original apostles; by exhibiting a sincere repentance and godly sorrow for sin and by seeking Gods kingdom and His righteousness through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. We believe that salvation is offered to all mankind, not on our merits, but through the mercies and gracious love of God.
- We believe that where physically possible, believers should be immersed in water baptism in a timely manner once they have made an initial decision to accept Yeshua as their Messiah, that all believers should participate in a one-on-one mentoring/discipleship process (initially as a student and then later, as they mature spiritually, as a mentor), that all believers should gather together on a regular basis for worship, teaching, fellowship and ministry, and that the regular remembrance of our Lords death through the Lords Supper (communion) should be a part of that gathering.
- We believe that Yeshua has four foundational principles for the individual believer and four principles for the corporate Church:
- For the individual believer
- Belief in Yeshua as Messiah/Savior as the Cornerstone principle
- Daily Bible study, applying what the Holy Spirit teaches to our behavior and choices
- Daily prayer, worship and intercession, surrendering our will to the will of the Father in all things
- A passion for the things of God, outweighing all other priorities and zeal
- For the corporate Church
- To love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, minds and strength
- To love our neighborthose at whom we are at enmityas we love ourselves
- To evangelistically go into the world with the message of the good news of our Lord Yeshua
- To edify each believer we know through the process of discipleship as understood by the original apostles
- We believe that God has established the five-fold offices and the gifts of the Spirit for the edification of the Church, that these offices and gifts are fully operational today in the lives of surrendered believers, and that they must, by definition, operate in concert together. We believe that the application of the offices and gifts is not limited by gender, race, education or background but has been established by the Father for the instruction and encouragement of the Church and the implementation of the Great Commission.
- We believe that denominations have been established for the comfort of the lusts of our flesh and the ease of communication, that such barriers must be overcome through prayer, intentional fellowship and sacrificial love, and that it is imperative that believers have unity in the essential doctrines of the Church regardless of where they individually worship.
