BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC SUMMIT |
The first annual Omega Psi Phi Business and Economic Summit will be held June 18-21, 1997 at the Doral Country Club & Spa in Miami."Brothers Doing Business with Brothers" is the summit's theme, which will offer participants an opportunity to network and develop business and economic strategies for the fraternity and individual members.An impressive list of speakers has been scheduled, including Maceo K. Sloan, president & CEO of Sloan Financial Group; Ronald Homer, president of Access Capital Strategies; Lloyd Arrington, president of Columbia Capital Group; and Kenneth Lombard, president of Johnson Development Corp./Magic Johnson Theaters. The summit participants will also develop an Omega employment bank, a business development network and identify business resources within the fraternity. Richard L. Taylor, division vice president of Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Massachusetts, is the summit chairman; Dr. Dorsey C. Miller of Fort Lauderdale, FL, is Omega's Grand Basileus (national president). Omega Psi Phi Fraternity is an international civic and service organization with more than 140,000 members.
