To use these, you must save the animated image so you can use your own
copy.
This is important (explanation below).
If you do not have a image
subdirectory, I would highly recommend that you create a subdirectory named
"images" and in that directory create a directory named "images". You can
then save your images to this directory. For example I save my images to
"internet/netscape/websites/images/omega".
To save images do this:
Using Netscape Composer you can save a whole page
including all images by clicking
"File / Edit Page {which will open the page
in your "Page Composer") / Save As / Close"
Place your copy of the animation on your webpage the same way you can place any image. You do not need anything extra to make it animate for Netscape 2.0 or Internet Explorer (other browsers see a standard icon). Here's how to place it on your page: For instance, if you want to use one called bros.gif, do this:
Using
Netscape Composer:
#
place the cursor where you want the image
#
click "Insert / Image / Chose File - click on bros.gif / click ok / click
ok"
Using HTML language:
# put the image bros.gif
in the same directory with your page
# put a line on your page
that says
(on some platforms you can drag and drop to the browser window to open it).
I suggest that you use the icons sparingly. Having too many on the same page may cause problems and can certainly make concentration difficult.
