Note that modifiers for Humans are entirely optional, and meant only to be used when benficial. Also note that Half-Elves do not normally have any attribute modifiers, but the DM may wish to make an exception when the parent races are very different. In cases where this rule is used, add up all attribute modifers, and divide them by 2., and round off to the nearest Integer.For example, if a character were half Drow Elf, and half Thonian Human, the attribute Modifiers would be as follows: +1 STR (Ave +0.5), +2 DEX (Ave +1.5), -1 CON (Ave -0.5), and -2 CHA (Ave -1.5).

When a human character rolls a 19, consult the following tables to determine actual attribute score. Humans have the capacity to be much more exceptional than the average human.
