Apollo Project Importance
The Apollo missions are amongs the most popular and important missions to mankind. Since mankind could move around the world, we have expanded and challenged our boundaries in search for knowledge (and profit), one prime example were the early explorers, such as Christopher Columbus.
The importance of our paradigm shift from the days of being the center of the universe to now, is immense. When Apollo 11 landed on the moon, the world knew... They knew with a certainty that there was more out there. We were no longer bound to this planet, we could physically travel to another world!!
Yes, probes were sent and knowledge gathered from throughout our solar system, but nothing hit the common people, the farmer, the janitor, the paperboy.... nothing hit them as seeing a human being, a person, whom they could relate with better than a probe... step foot on a different world. The feeling not of discovery, but of achivement. "One small step for man, a giant leap for mankind" - Neil Armstrong
This web page is dedicated to one such mission, not as historic as the FIRST, but still nonetheless an important mission to gather yet more information to find out our whereabouts and our purpose.
