Well this is one side of my life I really enjoy.
The hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season. When does it all start, the day after Thanksgiving, finding that perfect Christmas Tree, getting it home and hassling with it to stand up straight in the old Christmas stand. Once that is done, it is time for Dad to put the Christmas lights on if he can remember how he did it last year. The kids are patiently waiting while Dad is wondering why the lights won't work, checking each bulb to see which ones are good and which ones are bad. Alas, finally the lights are working, they are on the tree and the kids are ready to put the ornaments on to make this Christmas Tree the best looking tree ever. Finally the tree is decorated and the family stands back to adore their masterpiece.
aah, it is the most perfect tree that you have ever seen, now it is time to start decorating the rest of the house, inside and outside. Mom and the kids get the warmth and coziness of the inside( takes about a day) and poor old Dad gets the freezing cold of the outside(takes about a week), but everybody loves it, and when it is all done, there is no time for relaxation,because it is time to put something under the Christmas Tree. What do you think that would be?
Yes, a present with no name tag, but nobody really cares just as long as there is a present under the tree. Now it is time to really enjoy the Christmas Season.
As a Christmas tradition, we have put one present under the tree with no name tag, not a small or large present but a present to drive the kids up a wall trying to figure out who's present it is. Now we are doing it for our grandchildren.
Decorating is all done and the only thing left is to wait for the big day. Now the hustle and bustle starts, trying to find all the right gifts for each family member. That is the start of the Christmas Season at our house.
