Fact number one - cameras sometimes startle and annoy me.

This is always the awkward part.

My name's Gareth, and I'm a netaholic.

I'm 21 years old.. live in a suburb about an hour's drive east of Melbourne, Australia (although I was born in the United Kingdom and emigrated in 1983). Though I don't have any siblings, most of my close family have also emigrated over time, and live fairly close by.

My embarrassing hobbies and interests have been confined to another section of this site, leaving only the serious and semi-serious info here.

As far as education and career goes, Information Technology has become the thing. It's hard to avoid computers nowadays. Anyway, now it's time to dive headfirst into workforce after concluding a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems at the Swinburne University of Technology. It's amazing how time has flown by.. seems only a short while ago that my friends and I were celebrating surviving VCE.

Progress can really make a person feel old.. eek, I'll be thirty in nine short years.

Now onto the good stuff. Dentists scare the hell out of me. I don't like rodents or arachnids, and suffocating either through drowning or being buried alive is definitely not a good thing.
