In The Begining

Page 1 Prologue
Jason Wyld was a private investigator. Jace as he was known to his friends, had never known fear in his life. That has all changed. He was now speeding in and out of traffic, barely avoiding one collision after another. Jace was running for his life.
He was a older gentleman. He was six foot four in height, and weighed about two hundred and ten pounds. His eyes were dark brown and had a wise look to them. His hair was receding in the front and was a light brown in color. Jace thought he had seen it all, but nothing in the world could of prepared him for what just happened.
Next to Jace sat his lovely wife Misty. Her long curly auburn hair was covering her eyes. It was probably a good thing , for in her hazel eyes was the look of terror, from her husbands driving. She had known Jace for a long time. He has never ran from a thing, and now, the way he was going, was going to get them all killed. Something had frightened her husband, and that scared her.
"Slow down, please Jace!" she pleaded
Jace didn't even acknowledge her. His mind was a million miles away. "Why did he accepted this case.", he thought in the back of his mind.
Jace didn't have to answer himself though. He had been with out a case for so long, he had been considering a part time job to tie them over financially. Then it happened, his big break. A wealthy family by the name of Andrews had hired him to find their lost son Alex, several of the students had mentioned that this strange man and Alex talking earlier on the day he disappeared. Doing a little more research, Mr. Kassidy, brought him across the company called Placid Inc. Mr. Kassidy was the CEO in charge of their accusations.
Jace had assumed from the details of the case that Placid Inc. was a company dealing in the kidnapping and selling of children for pornographic and other misbegotten services. These things happened all the time in the city of Las Angeles
With the help of a few strings being pulled, Jace had gotten himself hired on as the night security guard for the firm. It was late one night, he had watched Mr. Kassidy leave. This time the high power executive had forgot to lock his office door.
Not wanting to miss his opportunity he waited , until he was sure that Mr. Kassidy was long gone. Then slowly he walked over to the office door. Glancing around to make sure that none of the other guard's had noticed him, he turned the door knob and entered.
The office was totally black in decor. Ancient roman sculptures and gothic paintings lined the room. Jace thought to himself , "strange taste this Mr. Kassidy has."
Sitting on a dark stained antique desk was the office computer. The screen let off a light blue aura, as Jace walked around the desk. Seems like Mr. Kassidy was in a hurry when he left, he had forgotten to log off his computer. Jace figured somewhere in the data base of the computer was the files he needed to prove his theory.
