Information

The year is 1789 , approximately 200 years ago. The city of Crystal Lake, Michigan was founded by a group of English settlers fleeing religious prosecution.

They had hoped to find freedom in the New World. They found nothing but fear and hatred. Under the guise of a Christian Church, the members formed St. Judas. It was here they planned their revenge.
One stormy evening, they gathered in the church basement. Calling upon ancient and arcane powers, they summoned forth a demon, a high lord of great power who's name was Chasm. Chasm slayed all of the members of the congregation without mercy as their blood soaked screams filled the night.

In the small town, a few villagers had heard the screams and gathered the courage to go and investigate. An immense battle overcame the warriors as they entered the cathedral. Chasm hammered at the warriors, trying to break them, but they would not give. A female priest of the Wiccan faith and a noble Englishman by the name of Dawnson had engaged Chasm in the courtyard. The battle ended with Dawnson sacrificing himself and Chasm being imprisoned within the earth.
The priestess then cast a powerful spell on the Scotsman MacClain's blade, setting forth the notion that they were now all protectors of the earth. It was now their job to make sure Chasm never arose and came to pose a threat ever again. They had taken the name 'Templer', after the Knights. Each of them had sworn to the sacred oath. It was shortly thereafter that MacClain had married and gave birth to a son
