Apophis, the Serpent God and rival of Ra in the Book of the Dead, rules
the night. He is guarded by a Jaffa army of Serpent Guards. As a Goa'uld
System Lord, he has tried many times to destroy the people of Earth.
After suffering defeats from SG-1 and Sokar, he escaped and found
himself in a position to take control of all of Sokar's forces.
he is the father of Klorel and the harseis, and the mate of Amaunet.
