GRC Wars

GRC Wars is a new tournament for all the members of GRC. All squadrons that are inside GRC can compete
in this tournament against each other. The squadron with most skirmish wins, wins the whole tournament.
The GRC Wars 1 is now over, congratulations to The Midnight Marauders, the overall winners.
Will GRC wars return in the future? You decide.

5 games were played on the first War day. Both IPC members won their games. SULO's win, however, will not be counted since he violated certain un-written rules. SULO ran away when he was in a narrow 6-4 lead over his opponent. Because of this only 4 games were officially played.

The second War day had a much larger attendance from MNM, so much so that they outnumbered the other attendees 2-1. 16 games were played, culminating in a last minute fight to the death between MNM_Folor_AW and IPC_SULOinen with live commentary from MNM_Striker_AW. Folor defeated SULO, bringing the final day result to a shocking draw 7-7 between IPC and MNM. Despite last minute recruiting of reinforcements NBL managed a pathetic 1 win, due in no small part to only NBL_Adam showing up from the start, and incompetance thereof :). MNM_Folor_AW deserves special recognition for his incredible 6 games, all wins.

The Final War day had a great turnout from MNM. It was tense because both IPC and MNM were level for the Best Clan Award. An unprecedented number of games were played, with MNM and IPC remaining at about the same level and NBL struggling to catch up. The final game (I think) was IPC_Yaseen vs. MNM_Shark_DW. Both exellent pilots, eventually Shark won, breaking the MNM/IPC deadlock and securing MNM's victory in GRC wars 1.

The GRC Wars started as a vague idea of IPC_SULOinen and as fleshed out and planne with MNM_Predator and NBL_Adam. None of us thought it would be so popular. One behalf of the organisers and leaders of each clan I express our thanks to all the pilots who fought so competitively and yet kept up a spirit of sportsmanship and fair play. Thanks everyone, for making it an enjoyable tournament for all.
