Personality

Amaya is an emotional, sensitive girl who very high expectations for herself. This is very hard for her, not just in "real life", but also on the battlefield. Amaya feels her job is to protect her teammates as well as hurt the enemy. When she does not do as well as she hopes to do (or expects herself to do) in offense and defense, she can get pretty hard on herself (you'll an example of this some of the later episodes, but enough on that J. Don't want to spoil it too much.). Amaya also is very shy. She is fast to love, and often chooses the wrong people to be the object of her affection. Her understanding of human nature and her water-like fluidity give her the popularity in her own circle of friends that a shy girl rarely gets.

Appearance

Amaya is very beautiful. This separates her from her friends in that they are all very attractive, but not beautiful. Edana is gorgeous (hot, sexy, and glamorous); Ann is pretty (flirty, cute); and Kaia is lovely (shyly beautiful, modern classic). (Can you see a pattern here?) Amaya just has a sort of classic look. Amaya's big blue eyes and long black hair that reaches down to the small of her back give her the china doll look, while her smile gives her the schoolgirl innocence and charm. Though she in reality is not very tall, she has the appearance of towering normal people because of her loving personality.

Connections

Arden(Fire) - Arden and Amaya are good friends. They get along so well partly because of Arden's relationship as BFFs with Troy.

Kaia(Earth) - Kaia and Amaya get along alright, and often takes sides together. They think alike (very much alike), but don't really click like Ann and Amaya.

Terran(Earth) - Terran and Amaya don't know each other too well, but they get along very well when on the battlefield and on the schoolyard. Well?I might have a spoiler here, so, if you don't want to know, look away! Spoiler: Terran and Amaya get along very well (get it?) later on in the anime?after he saves her from suicide!

Edana(Fire) - You might think it odd that opposite elements get along well, but Edana and Amaya do. Edana is Amaya's second best friend. Amaya loves Edana's carefree attitude and once in while (a very long while) joins her in a double date or flirting trip.

Troy(Water) - Amaya's male counterpart in their element and absolute equal. Amaya's attacks are strongest when she is with and attacks with Troy. Spoiler-Troy and Amaya fall in love in one of the episodes, but-(cut off!!) enough said.

Ann(Air) - Amaya's best friend is Ann. The two get along surprisingly well, considering how lightly Ann takes things and how heavily Amaya does?but maybe that's why. Ann is able to make any one laugh and feel better-and that is a very good thing for Amaya relies too heavily on herself. Ann is able to cheer up Amaya when she in one of her "I-screwed-up" moods.

Cyrus(Air) - Amaya and Cyrus good friends, but not as close as Amaya and Ann or some other Protectors are.


Weapon and Outfit

Amaya's outfit is like a halter top/sports bra that ends just below her bust. She then has a belt like strap that fits around her hips and comes down in the front and back with a strap of cloth. I can't really explain it, but it's sort of like Edana's.

Amaya's weapon are two battle fans. They look sort of like oriental fans. She uses them like frisbees to slice the enemy and can also uses them up close by dragging the edge along the enemy to make a sort of paper cut.

Attacks

Physical - Amaya's battle fans also cause ice/water damage when she attacks.

Hippogriff Whip - Amaya's attack with Troy. Amaya and Troy interlock hands and stand back to back. Amaya and Troy disappear and in their place forms the hippogriff, which gallops towards the enemy and whips it with it's tail. It's very powerful (though it seems weak and shy) and takes off serious "HP".

Wrenching Tears - Amaya's lone attack. She opens her mouth and begins to hum a battle tune. Tears slide down the enemies' faces, blinding them. (Water is the element of emotion) This attack is very powerful and drains all of Amaya's life energy.

Water Fall - Troy and Amaya raise their hands to their eye level as if praying. They then point the palms of their hands (still facing the other hand) and open them, keeping their fingertips touching. Acid water sprays from their hands at the enemies. They cans also use this attack apart from one another.
