BOSTON UNITED WEBSITE REVIEWS
Part of the Non-League Review Site

Boston United are situated in Lincolnshire, this is their first season in the top flight since 1992/93 having won the Southern League last season.
After a slow start to the season Boston United have found their feet in the Conference and as at 12 March are placed well in 12th position, and looking forward to a further season in the top flight of non-league football in the UK.
By far the best result this season so far has been a resounding 4-1 victory over Yeovil Town, whilst the biggest defeat so far Boston have suffered were 3-0 defeats against Forest Green and Northwich Victoria.
Attendances this season have been very impressive at the present time the average of 2,038, with a high of 3,434 and low of 1,303.
Below are the website reviews for Boston United :-
Official Boston United Website

The first impression of this website is that it is designed in the Boston United colours, which is good in theory but the orange background does not look very appealing.
All the pages on the website are sponsored by businesses which is good for the cost of developing the website, the matches page takes a while to load but that wait is well worthwhile because of the details of the matches played starting with the friendlies upto the present day, links are available to take the visitor straight to the match report of the game. Attendance figures are also included - too many non-league sites do not advertise these for some unknown reason.
The match reports are well put together and informative to the game in question, the photos when used are of good quality.
The photos on the Stadium page are small but non-the-less good, especially the Spayne Road photo also the views from the floodlights are excellent.
Another good aspect of the site is the clips, although these take up huge amounts of file space the club should be give a pat on the back for including them, the quality of the clip I viewed was very good and the goal scored was from an excellent Beckham-esque cross (Eldings debut goal).
The History of Boston United was an a good read, but no mention of the games against Goole Town in the NPL wonder why not? probably because Goole used to win them :-) , the use of old paper cuttings and photographs was also a good touch. The complete records are for the buffs of Boston a real statto area of the site, I noticed that in 1976/77 FA Cup Goole beat Boston 3-1 after a 1-1 draw :-)
Also in the Complete records you can see the famous managers Boston have had in the past i.e. Howard Wilkinson, Mike Walker and more recently Mel Sterland.
The current season stats are clear and concise with the good idea of letting the supporters know how many yellow and red cards each player has collected over the season so the fans know who is nearing a suspension.
Stats are also available for the next opponents at the time of writing this the match was against Doncaster Rovers, a system is run to determine what the result should be, on this occasion it is coming up with a draw.
The 'Where are they Now' trys to keep the fans upto date on the movements of players, to update this then put Kevin Noteman at Goole AFC (well he is on Goole's books, but he plays for Hatfield Main).
Well all in all this Official Website does not look up to much but once the user starts clicking on the links the site comes across as a well put together affair, to improve things slightly the webmaster could put one of the floodlight photos of the ground on the opening page, because those photos are very impressive.
