Dagenham & Redbridge Unofficial Website Review
The Main page after the two welcome pages is clear text wise but very cluttered in the way the links are set out, the webmaster on the main page states that the site includes no aspects of new technology such as DHTML, Java, Flash etc this is not a bad thing because it will make the pages load faster, but using some DHTML is not bad for a website.
The webmaster uses third party links to the conference table and grids this means that this part of the site is hardly ever going to be out of date, it is also a quick way to do things.
A very good read is 'The Musings of DJ Johnny B' page especially the Anorak Annals showing how Dagenham (and Redbridge) have evolved over the last ten years.
An interesting idea is the 'Fan in Focus' page, where the webmaster interviews the fans about their interests and also their favourites at D&R these make interesting reading and the webmaster should be applauded for trying this idea, more websites should give this idea a go.
The map of how to get to the ground assumes that you know how to get to Dagenham but the map is good and the route to the ground is marked out using colours.
Another aspect of this site that makes you think it is more a fanzine is the where to eat and drink page, which describes all the grease areas to eat for away fans and also all the local establishements to mingle with the home supporters before and after the game.
The site also boasts a good tour of the ground involving over 30 photos from around the ground and inside the clubhouse and shop.
Overall this website is a good read, with some good ideas displayed, the layout of the page is not the greatest but it works well.
