Dover Athletic Independent Website Review

This site takes a while to load because of the extensive java been used but the wait is worthwhile with a well thought out homepage. The mouse-over news items is a good touch and shows good knowledge by the webmaster.

The latest news area is split into different sections such as Transfers, Stadium news etc, which again is a good aspect, the news items are informative and at times includes statistics.

The fixtures and results area is well designed again, using a neat table for the results and a tabbed upcoming fixtures page.

Unfortunately the match reports links do not go anywhere but a 404 screen, this hopefully will be rectified before the second review of the site in a few months time.

The player profiles are excellent, they are informative and some have mugshots of the players, also the archived section loads in with excellent DHTML effects, the History is detailed and makes for interesting reading and the club records are also well set out.

Overall a promising website, it shows that the webmaster has a good grasp of Java, DHTML and HTML.
