Druids
Ancient Druids are said to have worshipped the sun at Stonehenge, but that's not all they did...

Druids were the highest class in the Celtic priestly caste.  The word Druid may mean "very wise," but like many other things we're not sure.  It wasn't easy to become a Druid.  About 20 years of studying were required to learn everything by heart.  Things concerning religious matters were not put into writing.  This gave them the freedom to change with the times, but kept basic matters the same.  Unfortunately, this leaves us with little knowledge concerning their society.
But this lack of religious writings kept the Druids in complete control at all times.  How could you challenge an authority when you had no proof?
We don't know much about their gods either.  Many sculptures and portraits have been found, but we have no names to attach to them and no idea of what they represent.  We do know that three was their "lucky" number and that they worshipped a triad or trinity.
