Fic-ish Qs

Naia     More extra-super-late mail, gomen!

Haruka     Any reason you didn't just scrap all the old, unanswered mail and start over?

Naia     Guilty conscience, mostly.  That, and throwing out fanmail seems too much like Yaten.  Anyway, get to it!  There's more on the way!

Dear Haruka-sama,
First off I would like to say that you are a very beautiful person and I love your hair!
Second off out of all of the sailor senshi (inculding the starlight's) You are my most favorite senshi!

Haruka     Arigato for the kind remarks!  My hair certainly seems to have a lot of fans ^_^; .

Naia     Only 'cause it's sugoi and we're all jealous!  How do you get it looking so nice?

Haruka     *shrugs*  No real trick to it.  I use whatever shampoo's handy, let it air-dry, run a comb through, then just let it do its thing.  I'm a low-maintenance kind of girl.

Naia     *even more jealous*

Now with that out of the way I would like to ask you a few questions.
Question One: (I hope you don't hate me for this one) How do you feel when fanfiction writers write about you and Seiya-sama in a romantic relationship?

Haruka     Like the writer is indulging a personal fantasy of seeing his/her two favourite Senshi together.  *shrugs*  So long as they're not advocating pedophilia or incest, I don't care much what couples fic writers use.
In our reality, however, I can promise you it'll never happen.  True, by the end of the series, we'd reached a peace of sorts.  I might even go so far as to say, if we met again, we could become friends.  Romance. . . would be too much a stretch for my imagination to even conceive.

Question two; (It's pretty much like question one)
How do you feel when fanfiction writers write about you and Usagi-sama in a romantic relationship?

Haruka     That seems a bit more plausible, but still it's only the writer's wish.  Perhaps if she weren't heterosexual and involved, we could've gone out a few times, but she's not the type I would see long-term.  I love her as my friend and my princess, however, and those feelings will never change.

Question three; How did it feel when you transformed for the very first time? ( I am refrring to the silver millenium)

Haruka     Very first?  That's. . . far longer ago than I'll care to admit ^_^' .  In those days our society was perfect, like Eden, and thus our people were naive.  There was no such word as "evil"-- that wasn't even a concept any of us understood.  So you can imagine the terror and confusion of being suddenly attacked!  Fortunately, nature has been around far longer than any of us humans, and had developed its own means of defence.  Each world had trusted the seed of its essence-- its energy and elemental power-- to a human avatar, so that when evil threatened, that power would awaken, and the holder would become its Senshi.  Of course, along with the great surge of power and physical transformation, a Senshi's awakening sorta downloads instructions for how to fight.  In later incarnations, memories of previous lives are also passed along, but the first time, there was just the feeling of synergy with the planet itself.  It was very profound.

Question Four: Did it hurt when your talsiman came out from your body?

Haruka     Short answer?  Yes.  Long answer?  Hell, yes!  I still have the scar.  But it had to be done, and I don't regret it in the least.

Question Five: How do you feel about your dubbed self? (In my opinon I think that it was stuipd when the dubbers made you and Michiru-sama cousins)

Haruka     As I told someone else, I don't see her as being myself.  So I guess all I feel about Amara is that her relationship with her cousin is just a bit creepy (if it is, indeed, incestuous as it's implied). . . and that she has very cool hair ^_~ .

Well that's all I can think of right now and I also have just used up all of my courage to write you. (Gomen I am a very very shy girl!) Anyway arigoto for taking the time to read my questions.

Haruka     Now I really wish this had been answered on time!  I hate to think I may have inadvertantly ruined such a seemingly nice young lady's courage!

Until again,
Pilar aka Ruka
