War

Safety in Night

As the Dawn flickers to dusk
the earth feeds off the blood
weapons are laid to rest
a tear is shed for death
a flame burns bright for hope
the men laid down to rest six feet
the womans fearfull cries
engulf the darkened sky
a chillfull night passes
as arms are raised
the white gone crimson, stained inside
the peircing of the bullets
the dropping of men
a small child whispers
when will it end?!
