character hit the N64 in 1996 and it Characters Mario:The hero once again who is trying to save Princess Peach/Toadstool from the terrifying Bowser. Princess Peach/Toadstool:She is again the woman who desperatly needs Mario's help in escaping Bowser's clutches. Bowser:Mario's arch-enemy. He has kidnapped the Princess again! Story Well the story remains the same as the first Mario Bros. Go and rescue the princess from Bowser,but you must also collect stars to open up doors to different areas of the castle. There are tons more levels and objectives than the previous Mario games. Mario also has a new set of abilities to pull from his bag of goodies, like the long jump and the triple jump. During your adventure you'll meet many hosts of characters each that help you in a different way in your quest to rescue the princess. Abilities Like I explained earlier Mario has the triple jump and the long Jump. He also has a punching move,a sliding attack,slam attack, and if you find Yoshi in the game he'll teach you the new and special triple jump. In addition to Mario's basic moves he can aquire different caps and his powers will change depending on which cap he gets. Red Block/Wing Cap:Mario can fly with this cap! If your shot out of a cannon you can go sky high and fly for a longer time. Green Block/Steel Cap:Mario can turn metal and become invulnerable to all enemies. He can also sink into the water and walk underwater without wasting any air! Blue Block/Transparent Cap:Mario also becomes invulnerable when wearing this cap. It makes him look see-through enabling him to walk through walls as well! Final Word Super Mario64 is a good cliche. It's just as good as the old ones but with astounding graphics. If you have an expansion pak it'll make the game ALOT better. The objectives in each level are easy yet challenging at the same time. The stars are essential t completing your quest so get every single one in every level. Some levels are also hidden from your eyes so look carefully! Happy gaming! Music: Story: Gameplay: Overall: |
