Speedball 2100 review by Keldon Warlord 11/30/00

Company: Empire Int.
Gametype: Extreme deathball action (or in this case lack there of)
Platform: PSX
If you see this game in the store....throw your arms up in the air scream its a bomb point at the game and run for your life!!(well you better not unless your looking to spend the night in a jail cell). Do not let the price tag of $10 convey into your thought pattern. If you do actually see this game in the store just walk pass it. There are soooo many more things you can do with that money, save it for a special day, send it to me, throw it out of a window of a moving car, buy spice world the game, in case you haven't got any of the clues yet....do not get this game! Let me start with a small history lecture with the help from Kraig Kujawa from EGM, this series started back in the day on the Amiga and Atari ST computer formats. Then it was brought back on the Genesis a few years later to a minor following.

Its a futuristic soccer game that takes place in the year 2100(duh! see the title) and may I say not very well done. The arenas are so dull and bland to look at it makes you want to scream for mommy to make the monsters to go away! It has the graphics of a Genesis or Snes game the Choppy framerate of the Jaguar-CD and the Crappy gameplay of Cosmicrace(an old gen title). I can honestly say this is one of the biggest piece of anything awful that comes into your head to be put on well....any system.

(Once again quoting Kraig) This game could be and probally is the slowest extreme sports game ever created, not to mention very annoying to even look at in your house, or the fact of it being near your house or mine sickens me close to death...With all that said and done I give Speedball 2100 for your and my Playstation console 1 brain out of 10.....and may god have mercy on your soul if you do shell out any money for this...this....this "game".
