Although she hit Shinji at the first time she met him, she likes him as time goes by, and started "chasing" him. Shinji likes her a lot too. Once when Asuka blamed Shinji that he forgot to make lunch boxes for her, their classmate Touji said it is " the quallel between wife and husband".
