So many people have asked me to write my biography - although I am only 21! Well, they think I am an extraordinary person with many skills and abilities that they want to share through my biography.
However, what can I tell so far? I am the fifth of ten children. My father is the renowned Starfleet Admiral Fajan Moggadí, and to him and my eldest brother Nesram, who is 14 years older than me, I owe my love to Starfleet.
I was born on July 9th, 2351. My mother was 40 then, my father 52. When I was born, I already had four siblings: Nesram, Jovanna, Michal, and Kxuna. Kxuna is 9 years older than me, where as the eldest of my younger siblings, Benjamin, 10 years younger. I am somewhere in-between. Just imagine, my other younger siblings are 11 years (Diana and Doris) and 12 years (Jeffer and Kemlan) younger than me! Oh yes, I have a weird family. But we all get along very well, and I am glad to see any of my siblings.
My youth was far from normal. I am a Betazoid, and usually our telepathic abilities only fully develop at the age of 14 approximately. Just consider the surprise my parents had when I was 8 years old and had already fully developed this ability! Plus, I have never suffered from any psychological problems because of that. That is even more amazing.
Since I could use telepathy far earlier than most of my comrades, my parents and teachers insisted on an IQ test. The Result: They say I am highly intelligent, far beyond any measurable scale. I was sent to a school that specializes on such children, but even there I was bored and therefore took my high school degree at the age of eleven. By the time Kemlan and Jeffer were born, in 2363, I was sent to Starfleet Academy where I decided to go into the bridge officer career. I used to be the youngest cadet of all times - and still one of the most talented ones, too. It was there in San Francisco where I discovered my joy for writing, Not only that I started to write a daily diary and logbook, no, I also started composing essay and articles for the campus paper which soon earned me the status as co-editor. I also started taking classes as a shuttle pilot and in computer sciences, additional to my usual classes.
Then, there was one event that has been influencing my whole life ... when a certain Luna Shan entered my life. I first ran into her when she walked her little baby boy over the campus. The little one was about to fall into the lake, and I saved him. The mother came up and thanked me a lot. Well, I was 13 then, adolescent, and didn't know anything of love or some-thing. I only knew the same night that I couldn't forget Luna Shan. I couldn't know she about to get divorced from her husband at that time - and less that I would meet her again sooner than I expected!
The very next day the new term started, and I was looking especially forward to a class in exobiology - Romulans, Klingons, Ferengi, and other non-Federation species. When the instructor arrived, I was surprised to see a certain Luna Shan, aged 33 at that time ...
After class she came up to me and said, "You are the one who saved my son yesterday. Maurice had been talking about you all evening long." (How could I know that he would do that more often in the future?)
She treated for a coffee, and we spent some time talking, telepathically, of course. She told me she had read my personal files and was now looking forward to teaching me in her class. Well, later she regretted it ... No, not because she began to hate me. It was for a different reason.
This initial meeting after class was only the beginning. Sometimes she asked me to look after Maurice when she wanted to go out with friends. When she came back, we spent some more time in conversation. I was glad when I got my credits from her course that term because that meant we could evolve further in our friendship.
It happened on my 14th birthday. My roommate Alexa had already left, and since there was no class at that time (vacations ...), I stayed in bed longer. At around eleven the door bell rang, and I was amazed to find Luna there.
"Happy birthday, Berry," she greeted me. I asked her in, and we sat down on the sofa. Some-how I felt there was something important she wanted to say, however, she didn't find the courage to do so.
"What is the matter with you, Luna?" I asked. She sighed.
"Can I be very direct?"
"Of course you can."
"Berry, you are 14 now, I am twenty years older. You already know what I want to tell you . You are a telepath."
I have never had such a shiver again in my life. I couldn't resist but hug Luna. I knew what she felt - I felt the same way. That is why we explored ourselves beyond friendship for the first time that day. It was my nicest birthday present. And I am still happy that Luna was the one to introduce me to love.
It was difficult for us to pursue our love with showing it too openly. The fact was she taught at the same place where I learned. Nonetheless, when we arrived on Betazed for a vacation, I introduced her to my parents - and was surprised to learn they immediately accepted her as their daughter-in-law.
So they were not surprised when we made wedding arrangements for the day after my graduation. We both wanted to give Maurice a home and also have children on our own. We decided I would carry out our common children because I was younger.
Since DNA mingling of persons of the same gender is possible in this century, I new I was inseminated with her DNA the day after our wedding. And I was pregnant at once!
A lesbian marriage at the age of sixteen, my wife 20 years older than me, the fact I had a step-son called Maurice who loved me like crazy, the fact that Luna quit her job at the Academy to follow me onto the USS Enterprise-D to where I was assigned as ensign and lieutenant from 2367 and 2368, our daughter Shula's birth in 2368 - all that made me very mature. Nonetheless, I could always count on my family and partner's support. I also had the perfect instructor with Commander Riker aboard the Enterprise, and when he recognized there was nothing else I could learn with him, he sent me back to the Academy to have a second career. So I did, and it took me only until 2369 when I graduated a second time, this one in medical sciences specializing as a counselor.
Again, it was Commander Riker who helped me to find the USS Fairburn whose captain he knew. The other reason to ask to be assigned to that ship was that Luna could come with me and start teaching at the ship's school.
We have been aboard the USS Fairburn since and feel very at home here. Well, my boss, the Klingon counselor K'Teira is somewhat strange at times, nevertheless, she is a very wise and friendly woman. She has encouraged me to teach the young Starfleet cadets who come aboard to do a practice here beside helping her with counseling. I like my jobs, and Luna is very proud (so am I of Luna because she is the best partner I could have found in my life).
I am still happy with Luna, and I will conceive our second baby soon. Maurice is 9 years old already, and he wants to have a little brother to play soccer with - that is his favorite sport. That is my current situation. Well, I am young, and I guess I still have a lot ahead. At present I want to concentrate on my family and jobs because they are both equally important to me. I am happy for now.
End log entry - Berenár Moggadí.
