Mulan
Mulan is the main character of this story. (No duh, her name is the title) She is a very spirited and lively girl, who is determined to bring her family honor. Yet her irrepressable personality conflicts with the traditional Chinese views of how a girl should behave (calm, obediant, works fast paced). So, in other words, she doesn't quite fit in. Not to mention blows it sky-high at her meeting with the matchmaker, thus "earning" her family a somewhat dishonorable appearance.
But as much as she wants to impress the world, love for her family still comes first. Mulan's love for her father is lies so deeply that she will trade her life for her father's safety any day, without a doubt. Loyal, kind, honest, caring, clever, topped off with a unique sense of humor, Mulan is no doubt the one of THE best heroines of all time.
Ping:
Ping is she soldier name for Mulan. Under this name, she manages to slip into the Imperial Army. When you look at her/him as a man...well, she doesn't really do a good job of acting, huh? But for a woman (whistles), she does have a lot of potential muscle, doesn't she?
