It is during that time that he will assist to the tragic court martial of private Hendrick. Hendrick is sentenced to ten whip lashes and forced into a dishonnerable discharge for having struck a superior officer during a field mission. The superior officers feel guilty of having wasted a good potential soldier because it is the trainner`s duties to avoid being hit by the excitable recruits.
