For folk unfamiliar with the event, one day a year the Johnson Space Center opens up their
facilities to educate the public.

accessible. Also the displays and hand on exhibits put on by JSC employees, not tour
guides. So if you have questions, you can ask the experts. The center does special things,
like freebies, astronaut signings, demonstrations, and live music. It is a space junkies
dream and for free. In the past, Buildings such as Public Affairs, Space and Space Station
Simulator, Machine Manufacturing, Aerospace
Testing and Simulations, Ellington Field, and Mission Control. For JSCs Open House

For general information on the Clear Lake area and hotels, see http://www.clearlake.com.
Visitors to JSC Open House 2000 will have the same opportunity to visit the many control
centers, training facilities, laboratories and engineering testbeds at the center, as well
as nearby Sonny Carter Training Facility where astronauts practice for space walks and
Ellington Field with its variety of NASA aircraft. Once again, hundreds of NASA employees,
including astronauts,
scientists, and engineers will gather once again to demonstrate the work being conducted

millennium.
Be sure to keep a watchful eye on the JSC website.
