Meanings of Life

Life is like a river;
     Never knowing where it's flowing.
Through rough waters;
     When times are tough.
The next moment smooth sailing;
     When things are not failing.
Life is like a river.

Life is like a child;
     Never learning the path to take,
     Yet yearning to make it all right.
Fighting with the pressures around;
     Within, and the ones that surround.
Life is like a child.

Life is like a dream;
     A stream of visions not yet received.
Not knowing whether it's real or fake;
     Afraid to feel, afraid to take.
A cloud of realizations;
     Not allowed to be conceived.
Life is like a dream.


Fears in Life

As I sit around the pond
A breeze blows gently past my face
I think of the warm - hearted memories 
And the ones that brought great fears
I stumble on the ones that are part of me everyday
Never to be forgotten for years and years to come.
Letting them go is an enormous step
For that may be all in my life that is left
I search the depths of my soul
Letting the feeling flow
I just can't let them go
Reaching out to someone near
Breaking down the walls that surround
Feeling the pain and hate afar
The rage inside burns like a star
Unable to forgive, unable to foget
Making it harder and harder to live
No way in, yet no way out
No one who can help until they find
The strength of the pain
That burns far inside.
