BHA and BHT are why the typical American won't smell bad for at least a week after they die -- an effect first noticed by the American Society of Morticians in the early 60's. Corpses just weren't rotting like they were supposed to. BHA and BHT are also good for about 10% increase in lifespan, and are synergistic with Vitamin C and alcohol as anti-radiation drugs. (Yes, the best thing you can do before heading out into the post-apocalyptic nuclear holocaust landscape is to chow down on half a box of Pop Tarts and wash 'em down with a couple of stiff screwdrivers.) Hey, what a great theme for a party!
