Class 64 , Tank Locomotive
|
The Class 64 Tank Locomotive
has a wheel configuration
of 2-6-2 and had 2 normal
pressure cylinders. The German
Classification would be
"1C1-n2"
Which means 1 fixed lead axle, 3
driven axles,1 fixed trailing axle.
n=normal pressure versus super-

Class 98 Tank Locomotive
|
The class 98 locomotive was a branch
line engine. This one is a D-n2. In
other words 4 driven axles and no lead
or trailing axles. 2 normal pressure
cylinders.
Many of these locomotives look like they are toys. One reason why I enjoy them so much.
