Earth Facts
The Planet itself is the 3rd Planet in the Sol System, a G2 Star System.
It's Oceans cover about 71% of the planet, the Landmass has many different shapes, and there are no
larger uniform structures as on other planets. It's atmosphere consists of 78% Nitrogen (N), about 20% Oxygen (O�)
and a lesser amount of other gases (Argon, Methane, CO�, etc.). It's gravity field changes a little,
but the gravity is constant at about 1 g . The Planet is protected by a large amount of Defense satelites, there are
also missle launchers mounted on so called *Ship-Killer* satelites. These satelites are extremely powerfull, the president/dictator
Clark programmed them on attacking Earth itself, he was stopped by former Capt. John J. Sheridan, but if Sheridan hadn't stopped him,
the satelites could have had destroyed 40% of the surface of the planet.
Earth History
The history of humanity was a very, very bloody one, for thousands of years one country fought another, humanity came close to extingtion a *few* times.
They used the most modern weapon equipment as possible, against themselves, first bare hands, than knives, than guns, than cannons, than biological and chemical weapons,
and after that they used one of the most devestating weapons against themselves, the nuclear weapon. In the late 20 - 21 the Overkill rate was
at about 21, the human race could have had destroyed the Earth 21 times. But after the whole world was close to be annihilated in about 2150, by a biological weapon, humanity saw it's destiny.
In the next years, the first Mars colony was founded. Earth first made contact with an Alien Race, the Centauri in the 2250, at first the Centauri tried to trick the humans, that Erth was a lost colony
of the Centauri Empire, it was soon proven, that there was no genetic-link between the Centauri and Humanity. Unless this little accident, the Centauri brought Humanity the technology for faster than light
traveling, and, with this the Jumpgate Technology. This brought the new formed alliance a leg up in galaxy buisness, and Humanity spread over the galaxys at a enormous speed.
Earths first real war in space was the Dilgar war,where earth brought down the Dilgar, in an alliance with the Non-Allied-Worlds. Although, Earths main point was to steady its position as a global player
in galaxy buisness, it became a morale cause, when the EA was faced with the sheer destruction of the Dilgar Warlords. Earth won, but substained heavy losses. For the EA it was clear, that ALL Dilgar were
eradicated, but one survived Warmaster Jha'Ha'Dur, the madest of them all. Earth was now a Global Player, but only a few years later, it was near its total extinction, when the Earth-Minbari war started.
The war was caused by an accident, a gun happy human captain, a Minbari fleet with gunports open, and a whole lot of paranoia. The Arth Alliance Heavy Cruiser Prometheus fired the first shot, after a few
seconds, the whole little EA fleet, consisting of 2 Hyperion Class Heavy Cruisers, one Nova Dreadnought, and 2 full squadrons of Starfurys fired at the Minbari ships. The human ships, taking the Minbari Ships by
surprise fragged a few ships, before the Minbari Ships reacted. Facing the sheer destruction of these ships, the EA ships retreated into Hyperspace, leaving the Minbari Flagship, with its dying leader Dukhat
fragged in space. Dukhat died, and because of one dead, the Minbari proclaimed a Jihad, a holy war upon earth. The war lasted for 3 years, leaving behind mass destruction, and hate. Bypassing the main colonys
and moons, the Minbari marched straight up to earth. For *everyone* in the EA it was clear,that the battle against the technologically superior enemy was hopeless, humanity refused to surrender, and massed 40.000
ships around earth, in the suicidial attempt to stop the Minbari onslaught. After that what would be later called the Battle Of The Line only less than 200 ships were left, but the Minbari had surrendered, at
the brink of victory, at this times, it was one of the greates mysterys of the galaxy. And it still is, only a few people know the reason for the surrender. After that, earth went into a isolist position, grabbing
at every thing, that would give the EA a leg up on advanced technology. Xeno-archeology became a great deal. After facing a phase a (false) peace, President Santiago war assisinated with help of the Shadows by the former
Vice President Clark. After that, Earth suffered for 2 years under the dictatorship of President Clark. This dictatorship ended in a full scale civil war, and Earth was reclaimed by renegade troops in 2263.
Currently, Earth and the EA are facing a status of rebuild and intigration into the Interstellar Alliance.
Technology
The technology of Humanity is not very advanced. The main energy source are fusion reactors, which power nearly *everything*. Of the four great races, only the Narn are under mankind in technology. But in this time,
Earth is integrating the most advanced technology which was *ever* developed in history, Shadow technology. The main arments of Human ships are particle, beam, laser and missles weapons, although Earth ships can take quite
a punch they are not very fast (only the Starfurys are *really* fast, and also the most armored ships of their size of the known races), and also not very manouverable. But in one thing Earth is superior, it succeded in placin the
most weapons per square meter on the ships.
EA Fleet
The Minbari Fleet is most powerfull fleet of the newer races, and their superior stealth system gives them a great advantage against
other races. Their Sharlin battlecruiser is a very powerfull ship, and also the backbone of the Minbari battlefleet, the other spacecraft of the
Minbari is their Nial fighter, which is also equiped with the stealth system. The stealth system has given the Minbari
a special name under Earth pilots, which had survived the war "Ghosts Of The Night". The newest of the Minbari ships os the White Star class vessel,
which is based partially on Vorlon technology.
