OK, I admit it. I have a problem with the whole idea of specs. I mean, how do you realistically compare the relative "strength" of, say, Brawn vs. Omega Supreme? Brawn is supposed to be extremely strong, but I wouldn't bet on him in an arm-wrestling contest against the big "O." So, I've tried to give different characters ratings based on their size, class, function, etc. When I give a strength rating for Electrofox, I am *not* comparing her to Motormaster: I am comparing her to other characters of similar size, such as Bumblebee or Rumble. Similarly, the "speed" of a character with a ground vehicle transform will be rated as compared to other characters with vehicle transforms, *not* as compared to supersonic jets. This seems only fair. (Sundog probably couldn't outrun Starscream, but that doesn't mean that he's "slow.")

In some cases I have also modified the categories based on the unique qualities or abilities specific to a particular character. For example, some of them have a "psi" rating, while others do not.

I hope that this will be helpful for anyone thinking of including a character of mine in a fic... and BTW, if you are thinking of doing so, please email me and ask if it's OK. Chances are I won't mind (in fact I'll probably be flattered to pieces!). But I *do* want to know about it, and I *do* want to be given credit as the original creator.
