If you've wondered who in heavens name made this page, well, now your in luck. Here is a FAQ of the most asked questions of the artist.
What's your name?
I'm going by the name Jess Idres for now this page. Some of you might know that is not really my true name just my nickname. If you want to know my real name, go to Otakon, Balticon or Back Bay, and look for me. I'm not hard to miss: Red hair (Not strawberry blonde but a good Alburn), I keep getting told I look like Molly Ringwald (and I thought I was bad with the eighties..), Black satchel, and my trademark turtlenecks (or an angel shirt, if it's warm out. I will answer to Miss Idres, Jess Idres, Please ma'am don't hurt me, and "'ey! Cartoonist Girl"
How do you draw like that? Can you teach me?
I trained for several years with tibetian monks mastering the art of drawing. You wanna learn? go visit them.
Where are you from? And what's you ethnicity?

I have lived in Boston, San Fransisco, Baltimore, and Southern Massachucetts. I am a proud descendant of Isle blood (Britain rocks!) Scandanavian, Romanian, Portuguese and some strange ties mixed in (I'm descended from two guys from the Mayflower; One who lead the expedition and one who fell off twice).
Which Series do you like the best?
Masamune Shirow is one of my idols. Ghost in the Shell, Dominion, Black Magic, Appleseed. Kosuke Fujishima's Ah! My Goddess (Oh! My Goddess in America)is what I strive for in my art, his layouts and sweet little stories have me pining for the fjords (Who knows what that's from? prize to the first one who emails me the answer). I have been compared to Urd (evil and naughty but never seems to catch anything). Gundam Wing's a neat anime, as is vampire Pricess Miyu. But my favorite movie is Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke. oh wow heheheh....I'll just shut up now...
Of My own: Well, I'm attached particularily to the story of Yin And Yang, seeing as those guys have been around forever. I first wrote about them and doodled them 8 years ago. But so far, Savior of Grace is the most satisifing. Even if I forgot the plot.
WHO ARE YOU?
I'm a mess of things. Artist, singer, witch (no joke), poet, History and Classical Civilization major, music lover, single, maniac depressive (no joke either), movie, warrior, healer of souls, unrequieted lover, daydreamer, Old soul.
NO I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN FANATIC. Quite the opposite. If it was the 17th century, I'd be burned at the stake by now. (I'm still not sure I won't! GET THAT TORCH AWAY FROM ME!!!!!)
32 flavors? what in the worlds?
Long story. Long story short: it's from Ani DiFranco's (yes, she sang it first) song "32 Flavors". I love both versions of the song (Alaana Davis did a cover of it) and it just about sums me up. Someone out of place, someone you can't stuff into a box. Tori Amos, Annie Lennox, and Barenaked Ladies also inspire me. Elegance and madness are the greatest mix. Who knows, You might see "1,000 Oceans" as the next chapter of a comic... or "Whiter Shade of Pale".
I love comments and questions. Send away.
