Born in Maine, in the USA. He's the son of a fisherman: Petros Xanatos; there's no mention of his mother, then his father is supposed to be widower. He got the cash to start constructing his financial empire from a X century coin he got from an unknow benefactor. Years later he received a letter from himself in the past, in the X century, wich told him that in his honeymoon he'll travel trought the time to the original location of the Wyvern Castle; there he'll get a coin in reward for his services and he must give it to a Illuminati who was there, there with the instructions to send it to someone called David Xanatos in 1975 and the letter 20 years later, one week before his wedding. That letter explained it all. One of his principal obsessions was to become inmortal, and he tried to get it from many ways... always failing in each attempt. The fact is that most of his plans concerning the gargoyles only have half sucess, but he doesn't seem to be defeated by that: he always finds something positive on his defeats, not considering them 'defeats'. His relationship with Fox, seems to have been kept in secret before their mariage or maybe he only saw that as a 'job' relationship. The way he asked her to marry him was really curious. After the birth of his son many things changed for him, as it always happens... And now he doesn't want to controll the gargoyles for his own purpuoses, now he feels he has a debt to pay with them by helping him to avoid Oberon kidnapping Alex. That's the reason why he allowed them to go back to the castle after the hunters incident. |

Named also "The stiffest man in the world". He works for Halcyon Renard, owner of Cyberbiotics, as his right hand. Halcyon, when his health problems don't allows him to go to somewhere, gives him the full power of decision; it gives a clue about the ammount of confidence that his employer has on him. He once nearly betrayed his employer: when Fox offered him a big ammount of money for his colaboration on the destruction of the second flying fortress of Cyberbiotics. At the last time he reacted and helped Mr. Renard to save his enterprise, the destruction of that robotized fortress will have ruined him, and confessed the bribery he accepted. What happened with that money in a swiss bank? Fidel to Mr. Renard, Preston has his own way to deal with things, not guided by the honor code of his employer. It's seen when he hires the services of the upgraded Jackal and Hyena to get rid of the gargoyles who lived there... |

He's claimed to be the best geneticist in the world. He works for anybody who has the ammount of money he requires and the equipment he needs to develop his job. It explains then how he worked for Xanatos, Thailog and finally for Dominique Destine. He was responsible of the development of the formula wich turned humans into mutated gargoyle-like beings. He got the mutagen mixing the genetics of bats, felins and electric eels... and it works simply injecting it to the "guinea pig". Some times he has been asked to get the antidote but he has never developed it. Other of his remarkable skills is the clonation. He directed the workteam wich created Thailog from Goliath's DNA; the fast-growing proccess followed with Thailog made him develop dark skin, red eyes and white hair, and it was combinated with a subliminar learning system. He once feigned his own death, after the creation of the mutates, and he nearly died in the loch Ness when he tried to capture the both specimens of the loch Ness monster. He also created the clones of each one of the members of the NY gargoyles clan, and Delilah, a gargoyle result of the mix of Elisa and Demona's DNA. His last know job was a blank virus for Nightstone Unlimited. |
