Dr. Strange!

Ok, I FINALLY broke down and invested in a sewing machine.. and the cash really did pay off! The good Dr. Here has a completely removable costume., with snaps, (the cloak of leviatation as well), and even the Eye Of Agamotto is removable! There's some innovative stuff here as well. The material in his shirt and cape both have some "ribbing" to them,makeing them look quite nice. The eye of agamotto is a doll cat's eye, placed into a fancy gold chromed button. His shirt emblem is another of my Photshop stickers. I don't know how well it shows up, but rather then a plain light blue, it has a mystical looking pattern I put into it. His belt has yellow lycra, but is now orange.. I used acrylic paint to "die" it, and let it dry nonflat. So where it indents, there are darker orange shadowing! Then there's his cape..

That gold looking stuff is on both sides, and a narrow type is used for the bottom. The bottom has lead solder through it, makeing it totally poseable! PLUS, the sides have a similar treatment: They have flower wires runb through them, for additional support. Both of these "rest" on his upper back, so his cloak can be flared out if preferred!

That gold stuff, BTW is holographic. That's why it looks strange.And to make it harder, it actually had pleats in it! I had to pull pout all the pleats, and smooth and flatten the holographic threads to get it useable! It REALLY makes his cloak have that Mystical look, though, and in retrospect was well worth the effort!

Truly my best custom figure to date, he's perfect. Not close, but dead on the way I wanted! He was completed on Aug. 21st, 1999
