Quasar Last Flight

The Quasar XL streaks off the pad on an I211 motor.
The predicted altitude for the flight was 4,000 feet, so it flew out of sight...and we never saw it again. We'd had problems with the motor adapter retainer while prepping the Quasar for launch, so all I can guess is that the ejection charge actually blew the motor adapter and casing out of the rear of the rocket, leaving the rocket to go ballistic and bury itself somewhere at Bong.
