"Torpedos away," you say. You have no choice. If you didn't fire the torpedos, somebody else would. That's when you realize that you don't have to do Lothair's dirty work. So you wait. Without pressing the fire button.
"I said fire the torpedoes!" the man says.
"I'm not going to," you say. Then you stand up and say: "I refuse to fire on innocent Spacers!"
"Then I will," the man says. He pushes you aside from the Tactical station, and presses the fire button. Two torpedos shoot out from the ship, and hit the shields of the Vladimir.
"It didn't do any damage!" the pirate says.
"I'm only giving you one warning," Captain Wells says. "You should have listened to your Tactical officer."
"We won't surrender," the pirate says. He prepares to fire more torpedos. The torpedos shoot out and hit the Vladimir again. But her shields are way too powerful for two more torpedos to matter.
"Mister Slavinsky," Wells says, "Fire at will."
"Firing," Slavinsky
says. Ten glowing orange torpedos fly away from Vladimir.
A few seconds later, the torpedos hit. The explosion sends you and
the parts of the ship flying in different directions in outer space.
Captain Aaron Wells will never know that they killed an innocent Spacer
when they blew up Lothair's pirate ship.
