Information on the Sailor Moon Series

        Sailor Moon is about a girl named Usagi Tsukino who goes to a Junior High School and meets this cat named Luna.  She becomes a super hero.  She and her friends, Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury), Rei Hino (Sailor Mars), Makoto Kino (Sailor Jupiter), and Minako Aino (Sailor Venus) form the Sailor Senshi, sworn to protect the Moon Princess.  They have difficult obstacles to overcome along the way of defending the moon princess.  First, they have to find her first, duh!  As the senshi find the Princess (which by the way is Usagi), they have to fight the Dark Kingdom (as DiC named it, the Negaverse).  There are 5 series and 3 movies tied into Sailor Moon and the Senshi.  I will talk about them.

        This is the first of the 5 series of Sailor Moon.  In this series, Sailor Moon learns how to be a Sailor Scout.  She meets up with the other 4 scouts as she is the leader of them.  Usagi transforms into Sailor Moon with this crystal that Luna gives her and shouts out,"Moon Prism Power, Make Up!"  The scouts have to fight Queen Beryl's Dark Kingdom to save the world.  In addition, the senshi meet Tuxedo Kamen (Tuxedo Mask), the senshis' hero.  He helps the senshi whenever the can.

        The second series is Sailor Moon R.  The "R" stands for romance or the Return of Sailor Moon.  In this series, Sailor Moon transforms by saying, "Moon Crystal Power."  Their enemies for this series are a brother and a sister named Seijyurow (Allen) and Natsumi (Ann).  They are on the earth trying to find energy so that their Doom Tree and themselves can survive.  After the Doom Tree is saved, a new person enter the scene.  She goes by the name Chibi-Usa (Reeny).  She has a ball that can turn into many things just by saying, "Kitty Magic!"  Later in the series, we find out that Chibi-Usa is the daughter of Tuxedo Kamen and Sailor Moon in the future.  There are also new enemies by the name of Cooan (Katzy), Beruche (Bertie), Calaverasse (Avery), and Petz (Prisma).  They are known as the sisters of the Black Moon (Negamoon as DiC named it).  They also meet Sailor Pluto, one of the Outer Senshi and protector of the time warp.

        Here is the first of the movies... Sailor Moon R:  The Movie.  In the movie, Usagi and Mamoru (Tuxedo Kamen) are dating.  In the beginning of the movie, Mamoru sees his old friend, Fiore.  He introduces himself to the senshi in an unkind manner.  He thinks that Usagi is taking Mamoru away from him.  Fiore wants friends.. especially his first friend.. Mamoru.  Fiore is controlled by an evil plant.  That is why he is acting like a jealous fool.  If you want to know more, go see the movie 4 yourself!

        Even though I have not seen this series, I hear that this is the best series by far.  People say that this series will confuse you the most.  Many people come back in this series.  For instance, Chibi-Usa is now a sailor scout in training.  It all starts out when Rei sees a vision that the world is gonna be destroyed.  After her vision, a monster takes some kind of crystal from her chest.  The senshi attck, but had no effect on the monster.  Soon after Sailor Moon's transforming crystal is ripped off her chest, 2 figures (New Sailor Scouts Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus) come and say, "It's not a talisman."  Later, we come to know that the enemies are Professor Tomoe and Kaolinite.  They want to destroy the world.  Later, some one wakes up after 1000 years of rest.  Her name is Sailor Saturn, in the body of a young girl named Hotaru.  Also, Sailor Moon transforms using a heart shaped crystal saying, "Moon."  Will Sailor Moon stop Pharoh 90 and Hotaru from destroying the earth?

        This is the 2nd of the 3 Sailor Moon movies.  Sailor Moon S:  The Movie is based upon an evil ice queen that wants to freeze the earth.  Kakeru (the astronomer- in Japanese, that means multiply) discovers a rock on the ground.  He puts it in a dish near his bed.  It drains his energy through the night.  Luna feels sick while the senshi are shopping and decides to go home.  Kakeru sees Luna as a car is speeding toward her.  Luna is saved by Kakeru and falls in love with him.  The Outer Senshi (Pluto, Uranus, Neptune) come back in this movie.  It is a story about love and Luna's unhappiness that she is not a human.

        This is the next series of Sailor Moon.  In Sailor Moon SuperS, the Outer Senshi are gone, but a new ally, a winged horse named Pegasus, comes to help the senshi.  During an eclipse, 3 new new foes:  Hawkseye, Fisheye, and Tigerseye appear.  They are looking for beautiful dreams.  Chibi-Usa fights with her mommy, Sailor Moon in battling them.  Pegasus upgrades their powers.  Sailor Moon transforms by saying, "Moon Crisis, Make Up!"  This series centers on comedy than the storyline.  Neherenia, the Queen and leader of the foes, make them the Amazoness Quartet.

        The last series kicks off with a new theme song and new plots.  The first episodes deal with Neherenia and defeating her.  The Outer Senshi are in this series and Pegasus leaves.  A new group of allies, The Sailor Starlights, come to help Sailor Moon.  Sailor Moon has new powers with the new crystal as she says, "Moon Eternal, Make Up!"  The girls are in High School with new uniforms.  Later, the new villian, Sailor Iron Mouse comes into the picture.  Mamoru leaves for college in America.  Chibi-Usa leaves to go back to the future.  A new person by the name of Chibi-Chibi enters the picture.  Later, a new sailor senshi arrives by the name of Sailor Galaxia, who Eternal Sailor Moon fights at the end.
