What a marvoulus question! ICQ (I seek you) is one of the most popular software programs on the net. It is also one of the most useful, fun and helpful programs. You may have been in a chat room, and heard someone say "Do you have ICQ???" and wondered what in the world they were talking about. ICQ is like a combonation between a chat room, e-mail, FTP , and so much more. it has a chat function that lets you go into an IRC style chat box, or you can send messages, which are like instantaneous e-mail. You can send whole files over the internet, without having to send an e-mail message with it. You can also keep track of the people that you have listed.
You might also ask WHY?
Well, if the last paragraph didn't answer that question, then perhaps this will. First of all there is no reason to not download it, it takes up minimal system resources, only requires a MB or two of hard drive space, hardly any ram, and can be run on computers that are even 6 years old or more. Second of all, if you use e-mail a lot, this is THE program for you, you will wonder what you ever did without it. Even if you don't use e-mail, if you know people that have computers connected to the internet, you should all get it so that you can keep in touch with out running up the phone bill, or paying for the postage, envelope, and paper to send a letter. Lastly: IT'S FREE!!!!!!!!
