Appleseed
OK, so you have Dunan and Buliaros, 2 cops who live in a perfect city, and they're generally happy. But these terrorists want to destroy this harmony because they're unhappy. Fools. And during a mission to apprehend terrorists one of Dunan and Buliaros' friends get killed so they want revenge. They then go after this evil cyborg and try to track down a cop-spy. Thrilling. Anyway, while surfing the web I came across some reviews of this particular film and was quite surprised that it got a lot of low marks. Apparently, the comics are much better and the film is a really big disappointment. Well, I've never read the comics, and probably never will, but I liked this film. It's well drawn, it's quite funny (in places) and it's got action. And there are no stupid parts that plague other manga films. So, if you've never read the comics, and won't be "disappointed" by it, then this is definitely an ideal choice. It could be worse, you could buy Geno Cyber (shudder).
2nd Opinion:Buliarios looks like a bunny, so you see, I call him bunnyboy. Wwweeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllll, buliaros is a bunny, he a big fat bunny, he's the biggest bunny in the whole wide world, he's a stupid bunny if there ever was a bunny, he's a bunny all to the boys and girls! (shut up jason) . Shame it might of been fun. Anyway its the japenese solution to the lethal weapon movies. Without mel gibson. Or the black bloke nobody cares about. Excellent animation and storyline that pushes you over the edge. (I worry about him sometimes - Lyndon).
