Devilman

Akira (hmmmm) is having a run of bad luck. First his parents are killed, then his pet rabbit is killed, then his ex-best friend goes all weird on him and reveals to him a terrible secret - demons exist. You just can't win sometimes, can you? And they're re-awakenening from their deep slumber. The only thing that is strong enough to kill a demon is a demon, and so Akira must bond with one of them to become Devilman! There are 2 films (to my knowledge) featuring Devilman; The Birth and The Demon Bird. The first film is basically the beginning, describing how Akira gets his powers and uses them to kick ass. The second is the best; featuring the best fights and music. Despite being made ages ago (1987) these films rock. The violence is brilliant, with heads being ripped off and intestines and stuff, the music is appropriate for the action and the length is just about right. And an added bonus is that you can get both films on one tape. Great, huh? Get these films, they completely rock (oh, by the way, the best catchphrase here is " Suck on this!").
