Shadow Skill I'm not making a 12 sign so there

The drawings on this film are different to the others in my collection. They're kind of 'angular', which makes the film look quite strange for the first 10 - 20 minutes. Aren't you glad I pointed that out? The story concerns Ella Ragu, who just happens to be the shadow skill, and her brother Gau. He doesn't talk until a man named Scarface (how do they make these names up?) teaches him a valuable lesson in fighting. Personally, I liked it better when he didn't talk. All he says is " Huh?" and he doesn't have a clue whats going on. While we're on this subject, Ella doesn't seem like a nice person; always telling everyone to shut up. I'm surprised this is a 12; with all the swearing (and there is a LOT) it should be a 15! The dialogue is the major weakness of this film, with the words sounding rather 'fake' and tend to spoil the film. Anyway, back to the plot. Ella, Gau and Fawori (a spellcaster, and it sounds like everyone calls her Valerie) travel to a town where a Robin Hood style character called Qou (I give up!) wants revenge for her dead master who was killed by the King of The Moon (aarrgg!!). They agree to help her and then the story really takes off. The battles are quite unique with this one. I especially like the spell-casting technique which involves Fawori holding up a piece of paper, a man saying for example Flame attack and the words FLAME coming up on the bottom of the screen. The film does tend to jump about a bit, especially near the end, giving you the "What the hell is going on?" sensation. Is it worth buying? The answer is: I don't know! All the weaknesses I've mentioned really damage the film badly but the battle sequences really biff it up. And be warned: it looks like there are more Shadow Skill films on the way. I'll probably be buying them.
