Spawn - 1 & 2

Based on the hit comic series " Spawn" (obviously) by Todd Mcfarlene (who does a little intro to each episode, which is nice) this is a thoroughly enjoyable video. The first episode is basically all background, with us witnessing what a Hell Spawn must go through when he comes back to life. He visits any of his friends (or in this case his wife) and confronts his own demon. But what is a Spawn? Well, we don't know yet. But we will in the second episode....... wait, no we don't. The second episode features more of the bad guys and who they're going to run for President. And Spawn getting use to his surroundings and making friends. And killing people. Speaking of animation (were we?) it's damn classy. The action is some of the best, and the people and effects realistic. But a special mention must go to the voices, who fit in so well with the programme that it's quite simply remarkable. Spawn is also very funny, with the character Clown providing most of the humour. Quite simply, this cannot be missed. I think there are at least 12 episodes so get collecting. I'll review subsequent episodes as I get 'em, OK?
