As with so many of her other "tech
toys", Jet didn't especially stop to ask for permissions when she had a
few ideas about how our original go-phones could be improved. The result,
refered to as the Mark 2 whenever differentiation was required, was a lighter,
harder to damage go-phone capable of encrypting our transmissions -- on
demand -- using a much longer key and frequency-shifting algorithms to
confuse prying ears. At the time of this adventure, the original model
was still much in use, with only the residents having constant access to
