Well I finally got around to buying it so I figured I would let all you DVD owners in on the quality.  The Shadow (believe it or not) was one of the first movies released to own on the DVD format and this is the version I own(I believe their is a DTS version availible now).  The DVD isn't exactly full of special features.  The trailer is not present, in fact the only thing you have to choose is the language and chapter.

The movie is presented in 1:33:1 fullscreen (even though the first few minutes are in widescreen).  There is no choice for widescreen(I like widescreen so I was kind of disapointed).  The quality of the transfer is really good and the sound is presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound(which is great if you have a surround sound system you can hear his laugh swirl all around you).  If anyone knows if the new DTS version has anything different please let me know.  Expect to pay around $20 for the regular and $25 to $30 on the DTS.  Maybe if we start a petition we can at least get them to throw in the trailer and maybe a cast and crew section when and if they do another version.
