Ok, one thing no one seems to understand is that Cyberpunks are not a buncha bums who sit around on there ass all day, dressed in all shiny stuff and acting like virtual reality is going to take over flesh and bone reality. Cyberpunks are people who want knowledge. Technology is the future and they want to get in on it, they want to understand it, they know how it can work for them, they know how to use it. It all revolves around information. What is the WWW besides condensed information? People behind CRT's and keyboards exchanging thoughts, knowledge, information. In other words, were not Stupid bums.
INFLUENCE
Most things are influenced by other cultures. Especially technology. They develop all the latest products in Japan, right now there working on a watch with a built in computer, cool huh. It leaves alot of us trying to imitate the Japanese culture in many ways, like our clothes, homes, even tv. Rent the Japanamations (japanese cartoons)Ghost in the Shell, Tank Police, Street Fighter and Akira if you don't belive me. Then go to Disneyland. Then play Nintendo.
FOOD
Considering the fact that everybody in these three groups has one thing on there mind they need fast, good food and lot's of energy. Mexican and Medditerranean food rule the Pacific North West. What happens is your on the computer and you have to eat so you rummage though the kitchen for instant food. Microwaveable burritos, churros, hostess and pop tarts for some. Cereal is great, some prefer carrots, Ginsing and Ginko, Powerbars, sessame snaps and other healthy alternatives to fillers. Personally I love having a bag of good crutons and skittles. When in public it's nice to find a mexican resturant with actuall spanish speaking people working there, Lebonese food is good to. Fancies prefer like the olive garden and expensive rich food. TOCUs will eat anywhere, but like obsessing over certain foods like egg rolls or ho ho's. Japanese food is enticing to everybody isn't it? As for drinks: Real die hards like Coffee black or loaded with sugar, others (like me) love their espresso. I drink double tall skinny lattes (double tall is the officall drink of Washington state) and tripple tall skinny swiss chocolate almond iced lattes. Red Bull is a good strong energy drink, Jolt,XTC and some other energy drinks, Surge, Sobe, Water Joe, Espresso and Coffee are all drinks of choice.
NEWS
Ok when it comes to reading and watching the news theres three kinds of people. 1. being people who watch all the news and read the paper, they know that everything affects everything else including there way of life, they know if a war breaks out between us and Japan no more Sony tvs. Its just smart to watch the news. 2.being people who only listen to news concerning technology, acceptable but they should realize everything does. 3.being the people who disregard the news altogether, it has nothing to do with them so why bother... boy will they be surrprised. The world is slowly changing into a place dependent upon technology. someday they will have to rely upon it and realize they should have paid attn. Thank God I watch the news.
