Issue: #14 - April 1996
Title: Jubilee's Top Ten Reasons Why Emplate Is A Loser!
Creative Team: Scott Lobdell (writer), Pascual Ferry (guest artist), Mark Buckingham (inks), Richard Starkings & Comicraft (letters), Steve Buccellato & pals (colors).

Summary/Review: A few hints in this issue, whether they mean anything or not is anyones guess. First, after expelling Vincente from Bishop's system, Bish is a little woozy and when he looks at M, he simply says quietly "mother?" Now, he could've easily been dillusional and the writers just wanna play with our heads. Second, once everyone is free thanks to Jubilee pissing Emplate off so much that when he absorbed her power, it began backfiring on him, Penance lands on M while she is down and M says, quote, "Maybe this... will somehow atone for our brother's sins." End quote. Keywords there are "our" and "brother's." Hmmm.
This ish also introduces yet another villain, a horde of Emplate named Murmur. Not much shown of him though, he just sort of pops in and out, literally. He looks like a mummy, too.
Now for my favorite part; Jubilee's (in)famous "Top Ten Reasons Why Emplate Is a Loser!"

10) EVERY day is a bad hair day.
9) Edward Scissorhands called and wants his hands back.
8) The calorie content of shape-shifters he eats is IMPOSSIBLE to calculate.
7) His social calendar is always overbooked during Snuffleupagus mating season.
6) Because HIS name makes about as much sense as THRENODY'S.
5) He's the only mutant NEVER to be asked to join the Hellfire Club.
4) He thinks Blob should change his name to "All-You-Can-Eat Man"
3) He thinks "Alive!" is a date movie.
2) He EATS with his hands.
And the number one reason why Emplate is a loser is...
He kidnaps every member of Generation X... plans to chow down on our mutants powers... Hangs YOURS TRULY upside down, yet somehow... He's STILL NOT AS OBNOXIOUS AS HIS SISTER, M!

Quick Thoughts: Ah, the infamous Top Ten list of Jubilee's. It was a nice addition to the issue, and that wasn't the only good thing about it. They seemed to really like dropping hints in this issue, and Lobdell was in true form. That is, making more mysteries that probably won't be answered for a couple years, or more. Or ever, actually. Ah well. Overall, a good ish.
